In the richest part of the Nile Delta, this is the leg from Asyut (HEAT) and Suhag ( HESG). The impact of the Nile is profoundly visible on this leg. Suhag itself has an airport that is right on the very edge of the desert! Look at the background of this picture, at the sand mountains on the other side of the Nile. The desert is never very far away!
